Monkeys eat a little amount of food through the day. Monkeys can be divided into two groups. Old world monkeys that live in Africa and Asia, and New World monkeys that live in South America.
Habitat: Monkeys live in Africa,Asia,Mexico,Central America,Zoos and South America. They also live in the rainforest and mostly swing in trees. They always like to live by trees so they can play around all day.
Diet: Different monkey species eat a variety of foods such as fruit,insects,flowers,leaves and reptile. Monkeys eat several meals throughout the day. The primary staple of their diet is commercial monkey chow.
Species: There are more than 260 different species of monkeys including baboons,howler monkeys,spider monkeys,blue monkeys and mandrills.
Appearance: Monkeys are furry animals with long fur that covered tails and hands with thumbs. Monkeys are furry like cats and other different furry animals.
Behaviour: Monkey Worlds go on to explain that non-verbal communication is one of the most important behaviour known to monkeys. Showing emotion through non -verbal communication grooming and social hierarchies and several behaviours that do not vary much between species.
On the top of the endangered species list of monkeys, is the black spider monkey. This monkey is the only endangered monkey on earth. They are endangered because of logging and deforestation. This is destroying their habitat.
